Speech-Language Pathologist - School-Based
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team, providing invaluable support to schools through our staffing services. As a SLP, you will work collaboratively with educators and other professionals to assess, and treat students with speech and language disorders.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
Be part of in depth team discussions around student eligibility based on the results of the evaluation and additional data and input from other team members.
Develop and implement individualized education plans to address communication challenges and to support progress towards individual student goals.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech therapy goals into the overall educational plan.
Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, using evidence-based techniques.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, assessments, and treatment plans.
Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team.
Stay informed about current research and trends in speech-language pathology to enhance the quality of services provided.
Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and parents.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid Arizona Department of Education licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Valid Arizona Department of Health Services licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification preferred.
Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
Ability to adapt to diverse educational environments and collaborate effectively with various professionals.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation to travel between school locations, if indicated.
