Credentialing Specialist

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of credentialing and re-
credentialing of Therapy Tree providers. This position ensures all providers are appropriately
credentialed which includes the responsibility of maintaining current information on file and
within the credentialing database. This position primarily works independently, but frequently
coordinates with other Revenue Cycle team members.
*This is a remote position but the candidate must reside in TX, GA or AZ.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
● Ensure all new providers successfully complete credentialing orientation
● Completion of credentialing and re-credentialing applications
● Complete primary source verification for educational background, licenses, certifications,
and work experience
● Ensure providers comply with legal and regulatory requirements
● Maintain provider credentialing profiles, by ensuring all documentation is current for
each provider
● Monitor expiration dates for licenses and credentials
● Submit and monitor payer enrollment applications for all providers
● Maintain internal credentialing database
● Provide consistent and timely follow up on all outstanding credentialing requests
● Maintain credentialing inbox and provide support to providers, Clinic Management and
other company departments as necessary
● Process provider demographic change requests
● Comply with HIPAA and Therapy Tree policies and guidelines
● Always maintain privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum two years of Credentialing/Provider Enrollment experience
Experience with CAQG
Health Plan experience preferred
Active ID.ME account
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Attention to Detail
Effective Written and Oral Communication
Strong Computer Skills
Proficiency in Credentialing Database Management (QGenda preferred)
Excellent Organizational Skills
System Requirements for Remote Work:
Reliable internet access, recommended minimum speed of 5mb
Laptop or PC with the following:
o Windows 11
o I5 Processor (I9 preferred)
o 16 GB Ram
o 500 SSD
Keyboard with numeric keypad
Access to webcam, microphone and speaker
